General Information
- Diagonal parking on designated streets from May 1 through November 14 (Head on parking inside the lines)
- Parallel Parking on designated streets from November 15 through April 30 (Follow the signs not the lines)
- During times of predicted snow, park vehicles on West & South sides of the street allowing the snow to be cleared to the curb. An alert via SWIFT 911 Notification system will advise when its time to move your vehicle to the East & North side of the street. This will allow the Avon Public Works to efficiently clear the snow from the roadway, thank you for your cooperation.
- Sidewalks should be cleared as soon as possible after a storm. Refrain from throwing snow back into the road and lane after it has been cleared.
- According to the BOCA National Property Maintenance Code, all residences must have address numbers on them which are visible from the street. This will help expedite locating your residence in an emergency.
- Vacant House Checks If you are going to be away for any amount of time, please use the link on the Avon Police Department home page or call the police desk 732-502-4500 to inform the department of your absence.
